Chanjoong (CJ) Kim

Seoul

Hi, I'm CJ. I build AI dev tools and apps, idea to shipped, on a short clock.

I'm an AI engineer in Seoul and an undergraduate in Artificial Intelligence at Kookmin University. Right now I'm an intern at Korea's Ministry of Intellectual Property.

I work on LLM agents and multi-agent systems. I put my work in front of real reviewers and real users, then measure what it actually does.

Earlier this year I was in Irvine, California, for Kookmin's Global PBL program. My project Atlas took second place at the IBM Bob Hackathon, and before that I did research at the university's Spectroscopy & AI Lab.

Projects

  1. neverboringnow

50 mini-apps live on Apps in Toss, the mini-app platform inside Toss, Korea's fintech super-app; 18 of them are AI apps. The first eight went live on Apr 6, 2026, and the fiftieth on Aug 25. The three most used reached 6,971, 6,942, and 5,119 cumulative daily actives (as of Oct 9, 2026).

  2. Atlas

Turns a public GitHub repo into a city map: folders become districts, files become buildings sized by code volume, imports become roads. The judged build was a flat map; it has since grown into atlascity.dev, an isometric city with two themes.

  3. reflect

A session-local metacognition harness for long-running Claude Code work: when suggestions keep getting reverted, it reasons about why and steers the next turn. MIT-licensed on npm.

  4. Oneline

Describe the exact tool you need in one line and get it running on your phone. Three candidates build in parallel; scripted browser checks score function, a model scores usability and design, any candidate that fails the function checks drops out, and the winner deploys.

Awards

  1. 2nd of 503 projects (Atlas)

Entered solo; 5,628 participants, 1,672 teams. $3,000 prize.

  2. Selected (Oneline)

Live on-site demo and Q&A before four industry judges, San Francisco.

  3. One of 500 selected (reflect)

    From 20,000+ applicants.
